How to get to Pont Royal in Provence
Pont Royal is easy to access either by plane, train or car. It is situated just 9 kilometres from the well known Autoroute du Soleil which connects the north to the south of France.
Pont Royal is located on the N7, just 10 minutes driving time from Junction 26 (Sénas) on the A7 which connects the channel ports to the south of France. It is approximately mid way between Aix en Provence and Avignon.
AIR: Apart from British Airways which operate daily flights to Marseille, there are several low cost airlines which now operate out of the area. These include BMI (Birmingham), Easy Jet and Ryanair which fly into Marseille; Ryanair also flies between Nimes and Stanstead and between Bournemouth and Marseille during the summer months; Air France from London City to Avignon; British Airways and Ryanair to Montpellier and British Airways to Toulon. Flybe also operate flights from Southampton and Exeter to Avignon during th summer months. Several airlines fly from the British cities to Nice.
RAIL: Eurostar operates between the UK and Avignon and Marseille. Depending on the time of year, it is sometimes necessary to change at Lille. Motorail runs a daily service between Calais and Avignon.
A car is recommended for your holiday so that you can visit the magnificent countryside in the vicinity and car hire is readily available at the airports and TGV stations.
